Market positioning strategy adopted after competitive bid
Candor today announced the selection of Gaffney Austin, LLC, to serve as its new agency of record, for all media and public relations activities. Candor offers the only dynamic, adaptable underwriting engine that underwrites loans individually, issues & clears conditions, makes a decision to lend, and backs the underwrite with a defect policy. In an effort to communicate this first-to-market, one-of-a-kind solution, Candor identified Gaffney Austin as the best choice for representation.
The firm’s leadership, Jacob Gaffney, a respected trade journalist, former Editor in Chief of the largest mortgage and real estate media platform, HousingWire, and Alyson Austin, a corporate communications insider previously with CoreLogic, were very familiar to the team at Candor.
Gaffney followed company founder and CEO Thomas Showalter for nearly a decade and company leadership had admired media coverage and exposure Austin earned for CoreLogic during her time there. Showalter also collaborated with Gaffney on several exclusive, data-driven features for HousingWire magazine during his tenure as top analytics officer at First American, CoreLogic and Digital Risk.
“This is a very exciting time to partner with Candor and their great team,” said Gaffney. “We’ve reached an important turning point in the entire mortgage industry, and Candor’s breakthrough technology is first to market and a game-changer. We look forward to getting Candor some well-deserved recognition for innovating and introducing such a distinct fintech process.”
“Our clients reported massive economic lift after five months in production, so our young FinTech has a big story to tell,” said Brandie Young, Candor’s Chief Marketer. “After an extensive review of some highly regarded agencies, we knew Gaffney Austin had the experience, expertise, and vision to bring Candor to the marketplace.
